The atmosphere is comfortable, with colors and surfaces meant to evoke the natural world. Dickson's first guests were members of his church, who blessed his restaurant. Once you enter the establishment, you can tell that the blessing is still working wonders. Terra Cafe opened in December of 2009, a steady crowd of hungry patron's stream into the doors each day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. On Saturday mornings and afternoons for breakfast and lunch, Terra provides a resting space with for a good read and some internet viewing. On the menu, you'll find among other things, sandwiches, wings, flatbread pizzas and breakfast. This is the type of restaurant that listens to its customers - takes their pulse, so to speak in order to provide you with a unique experience. There is a kind of attitude present that has, and will continue to help win your patronage of Terra Cafe. With this type of service, you would think that customers find themselves waiting a long time for food, but after your order is taken you may find time for a short conversation or to read an article in your favorite paper. Terra Café is not just any old restaurant; they really believe in the community. A small area in front of the restaurant regularly serves as a stage to spoken word artists, poets, comedians, and public speakers. With the leadership of Terra Café and other community members, the restaurant also provides food for the homeless and less fortunate of Baltimore. On top of that, the eatery has offered internship opportunities to youth living in under-served and at-risk communities. Due to an enormous electric bill, Terra Café has been temporarily closed. It pains the community to see such a great establish have to deny service, but it has also become a wakeup call to many supporters of the business. This campaign is to raise funds to get Terra Café back open as soon as possible. We hope that you can become a supporter of one of the most well-known and community-oriented businesses in east Baltimore, Terra Café. Donate what you can and know that we love you for it!
