Preventing a Leak, Crack or Tank Explosion - Getting My Aquarium Level!

Preventing a Leak, Crack or Tank Explosion - Getting My Aquarium Level!У вашего броузера проблема в совместимости с HTML5
One way to avoid leaks and flooding is to ensure that your tank is level. The other day while filling the 60 gallon grow-out I noticed that the aquarium was a little low on the right. Over time floors and stands can shift or settle slightly. This can result in a tank that isn't level and this creates stress on the silicone/adhesives that hold your tank together. Over time this can cause a leak, flooding your floor and if the leak is near the bottom, killing off all your stock. In this video I go over how I fixed my level issue. If this video looks a bit "retro" it's because I filmed it using an old video camera and some new editing software that I'm messing around with. I'm making some changes in equipment and over the next several months you'll see a variety of formats. Hopefully I'll arrive at a configuration that provides you with good consistent quality. Have you had to level an established tank? How did you do it? Let me know in the comments below and please don't forget to rate, share, sub and hit that bell and join the "Convo Gang," (I love reading the conversations that get going under my videos). Remember, "We all learn from each other!" Also by hitting that bell you will get notifications of all new uploads and upcoming live streams. DISCLAIMER: Please note that the method shown in this video might not work for you and I don't recommend this method but instead suggest that each person take their unique circumstances into consideration before taking action, including the construction of their stand and the floor it's sitting on. For example, if my tank had been sitting on a carpeted floor, my method would quite possibly not have worked. If you water level is suddenly off by a half inch on one side I suggest that you do a careful inspection of the tank, stand and floor before attempting to correct the situation. A collapsing stand, or floor, would certainly be a disaster. Join me most Saturday's for the Cichlids & Coffee Live Stream. We discuss great fish keeping topics and answer your questions, LIVE!
