Prime Time: Turf war over Delhi between Kejriwal and Centre

On Prime Time, we discuss the ongoing turf war between Kejriwal and the Centre over the power to decide appointment of bureaucrats. Following a dispute over appointment of Shakuntala Gamlin as the Chief Secretary, between LG Najeeb Jung and the Delhi government, the Home Ministry issued a notification stating that the Lieutenant Governor had absolute powers in appointing bureaucrats. However, the High Court issued an order questioning the notification on the 25th of May. The Centre challenged the order in the Supreme Court which has demanded a reply from the Delhi government on the appeal.
