Proving Yourself: Endless Damage (Wave 30) Frost DK Extra Waves

Video of me grabbing the title "The Proven Assailant" from the new Proving Grounds scenario added in 5.4. Managed to make it to wave 42, which I was quite pleased with considering my last try was wave 29 and this was only my 3rd attempt at it. That said, I end up failing to something stupid (Damn Banshees!). Frost DKs are undeniable strong for this, mainly due to diseases and Soul Reaper, which allow us to preemptively dot up mobs before the amber orbs hit, dealing massive damage in a short space of time. I didn't use any particularly fancy talents or glyphs for this, but recommend Death's Advance for outrunning the orbs and Glyph Of Icebound Fortitude in case you do get hit. I was also trying out the new Glyph Of Swift Death here, which is nice but not particularly necessary. Main advice I would give to anyone attempting this is to focus down the Banshees, as they're the most dangerous by far. Also, while the Mantid can be frustrating to deal with, the damage buff from their amber orbs is well worth keeping them alive. The waves follow a cycle of 10, meaning wave 11 is the same setup as wave 1, and every wave the mobs gain 1% bonus hp, so by wave 40 they'll be at 140% of their normal health. It is possibly worth noting that the Hozen and Banshees can be affected by position changing effects such as Death Grip, while all the other mobs can't be moved from their starting positions. Twice per 10 waves you'll get a berserking power up spawn - I recommend that you save at least one of them for each 10th wave to burn down the Sha, and use the other at another high wave. As far as I know you can't get more than 2, so remember to use them. Another important thing to remember is that Xuen will automatically maintain all raid buffs and debuffs, so you don't need to waste time applying these effects unless there's a secondary gain from it. Food and flasks work in the scenario but potions do not, and Healthstones are available before you start, but none of the mobs attack so, so this probably isn't much use unless you're a Warlock anyway. Overall I think this new scenario is pretty fun and an interesting new source of competition between players, and the damage challenge seems to be the most forgiving (Although I haven't tried the healer challenge). The tank challenge, however, is obscenely hard, and that's coming from a MS tank. Bear that in mind if you wish to give your OS challenge a go and aren't a paladin (!).
