PSM lawyers file order for detainees' release

Legal counsels representing the six Parti Sosialis Malaysia (PSM) members detained under the Emergency Ordinance (EO) filed a habeas corpus application at the Kuala Lumpur High Court registry today to seek their release. The six PSM members include Sungai Siput MP Michael Jeyakumar Devaraj, M Sukumaran, A Letchumanan, Choo Chon Kai, M Sarasvathy and R Sarat Babu. Lawyer Yudistra Darma Dorai told reporters that police granted the counsels access to the detainees at 2pm tomorrow, without details on where the meeting will take place.
