Qimi Chalet, Palau Kapas, Malaysia - The Hibiscus Room. After a fair bit on internet research we decided to go with the Qimi Chalet as others said the food there is great and the Chalets are okay for an island. Our experience was consistent with the reviews: the food was good and the chalets were fine. There was no issue with electricity (it was constant for 24 hours) but water pressure was very low. Apart from that the place was very good for 130RM per night. BACKGROUND: We left Kuala Lumpur on the overnight bus to Marang thinking we could sleep on the bus - BIG MISTAKE. Not a chance of getting even a little sleep. When we arrived at Marang we were dropped on the side of the road and had to find our own way (in the dark) to the jetty. We were very lucky to accidentally walk in the correct direction as there was no-one around and nothing to tell us which way to go. When we arrived at the jetty the morning prayer bellowed from the speaker until sunrise.
