QUAKE II - Raytracing mod (GTX 1080Ti)

So I finally decided to try the Quake 2 Raytracing (Path tracing) mod just to see how it looks and plays. My GPU (EVGA GTX1080Ti) was revving as all hell but I think it held up in terms of performance. Sadly there are some spots in the game where even though there was a clear line of sight to a light source, there were still spots that somehow were calculated to be pitch black for whatever reason.
