Reclaimed Wood Desktop

The wood for this desktop came from the handrails around the outside of my clients property. You never know quite what you are going to get with reclaimed painted wood but this was quality not like construction timber used nowadays! I'm not sure what the wood is, some sort of gum? It was a straight forward build, squaring the timber, laminating with homemade floating tenons and lots of scraping and finishing. I put eight coats of water based poly on sanding between coats to get a good build. I also made some floating corner shelves which I will show in another video later. It came out great and the clients were very happy. I'm always happy to answer any questions.
