RED DEER RUT - From CONTENDER to KING - WARNING: Mating Wildlife - Natural Behaviour Cervus elaphus

This *video story* revolves around a solitary stag 'Contender #2' and his quest for hinds. Once he traced the scent of Contender #1 stag and his harem - with a hind in oestrus 'ready to mate' he was on a mission and nothing was going to stop him reaching this individual hind. Once the Contenders were aware of the other it was all about carefully assessing and sizing each other up. It only ever ends in a rut if both Contenders are confident of defeating the other without getting badly injured. In this instance, they were evenly matched. Over the *5 WEEKS* I spent filming the Red Deer Rut I have learned so much about the social and reproductive behavior of deer, and would recommend this *educational video story* to any young or mature people who are interested in wildlife and nature. I have recently had TWO of my Youtube red deer rut video story presentations maliciously flagged for sexually explicit content by a Youtube channel impersonator who I banned from my channel after politely informing her why. To slap an 18+ age restriction on my video story is an incredibly bizarre decision to make, as it factually restricts so many young people from being fully informed and educated about these fascinating animals. As a parent and healthcare professional, I would much rather my child learned about nature from watching this sensitively made piece of footage, rather than them having to live in an isolated and sanitized world that becomes ever-detached from the natural environment. The health and wellbeing of our young people can be greatly improved by allowing them to experience the natural world, and if we prevent this by misguidedly labeling nature as ‘inappropriate’ then we deprive them of full health and wellbeing. *Adiana - Youtube is watching you - do yourself a favor & concentrate on your own channel* For this series of video stories, I spent over 50 hours on Google Earth, studying potentially good areas to search for red deer. I traveled hundreds of miles at a considerable expense and spent over 60 hours actually filming these wonderful red deer. I then spent a further 200+ hours editing the 4 video stories in the series.
