Regulating automatic watch with Audacity

just talking about how audacity (free audiorecording program) can be used to regulate automatic watch and check how accurately it runs). This makes watch regulating much faster compared to adjust, wait and check loop that takes days. some watches cannot be recorded with case closed as they are so quiet, but some are loud enough that you can find a spot where the sound is loud enough through the case. Usually placing the mic and finding a good stop creates noise, but just delete the beginning from the track in audacity, don't worry about recording the noise when placing the mic, I usually placed the mic untill I saw that the tics can be heard by the mic, then walked off for couple of minutes so it's quiet and then stopped it and removed the beginning noises.
