Review: Fujifilm XF 8-16mm F/2.8 R LM WR

The latest 'red label' zoom lens from Fujifilm is the XF 8-16mm f/2.8 R LM WR. It reminds me of its sister lens the XF 16-55mm f/2.8 R LM WR. Both lenses are constant f/2.8 primes, both are WR but no OIS, both are big, heavy and expensive. Both these lenses are also top performers and built like tanks. However, unlike the XF 16-55mm, the new XF 8-16mm has an extreme field of view starting at ultra wide 8mm. The closest lens to compare within Fujifilm's line-up is the very competent XF 10-24mm f/4 R OIS. This wider range ultra wide zoom lens has travelled with me everywhere, and is my standard vlogging lens. Can the new XF 8-16mm do everything that the XF 10-24mm can do?
