Riteish and Genelia have always been in love since their first film, but both being from a non-filmy background, they never disclosed it to the media. Riteish first saw Genelia in 2002 at an airport when traveling to Hyderabad for a test shoot of his debut film 'Tujhe Meri Kasam.' At first, his co-star Genelia totally ignored him. Genelia thought that being a chief minister’s son, Riteish will be a spoilt brat and full of tantrums. So, she decided to give him an attitude before he did! Oblivious to her thoughts, Riteish arrived at the terminal and saw this tall girl, who shook hands with him and started looking in a different direction. This cold reaction left him wondering why she was behaving awkwardly. To Genelia’s surprise, opposite to her first thoughts, Riteish came out to be extremely humble and polite with everybody on the sets. During the shoots, Riteish was immensely respectful towards Genelia’s parents. The actress found it endearing that despite being the CM’s son, Riteish was completely down-to-earth. They started working as strangers but by the time the film got over, they had become friends. While Riteish discussed architecture with her; she talked about her college and exams. Soon, they became best friends on and off the sets. The fondness grew, but no formal proposals were made from any side. After the Hyderabad shoot, Riteish came back to Mumbai. By now, he had started missing Genelia’s company. She also could not keep herself unfazed by his charm. The aura of Riteish was slowly taking over her. Love was never a sudden thing for them, it was a slow process, where they first got to know each other and before they could realize it, they were in love! A 16-year-old girl and a 24-year-old boy met way back in the year 2002. They gradually fell in love and after a nine-year-long relationship finally tied the knot on February 3, 2012, And we can say that the youngest couple of Bollywood literally grew up together. The beauty of this relationship is that they were so used to each other as friends, that till now, they do not know when love 'officially' happened and who proposed to whom and now they are enjoying their marital bliss with their two baby boys.
