Rory & Logan - "Last Kiss"

This was made for round 2 of amandaaa624's multi-round contest (because yay my "Show Me the Meaning Of Being Lonely" multi-fandom vid made me through round 1!). For this round, entitled "love what you hate", we were supposed to choose a couple or character that you DO NOT like. And vid them as if you love them. Entires had to be at least 1 minute long, any song, any fandom, no multi-fandoms. So yeah I finished this kinda at the last minute. ;) I tend to not hate too many characters nor ships - even if I do hate them at first, they tend to grow on me. I see why people like Rory/Logan... I mean I do like some of their scenes. He's a charmer, he sorta does match Rory's wit and appreciate her for who she is, he feels bad when he hurts her, he loves her and she loves him or so the show tells us. :P I've wanted to vid these two for a while now, because I included them in various multi-Gilmore couples vids I made over the years, plenty of Rory character tributes and stuff, but I had only ever made a single 100% Rory/Logan vid in my life. It was back in 2006 when season 7 had just barely started airing, I made it on WMM as one of the first vids I ever made, and I lost that vid of mine completely, deleted it permanently in a stupid attempt to clear up some space on my hard drive without even realizing I was deleting my own artwork forever. Lol. I was 6 years younger than I am now... but I'll never forgive my youthful self for being such an idiot. Why did I want to vid this couple if I hate them? Because while yes, Rory/Jess is not only my #1 OTP of the show but actually my #1 OTP of all time, years ago I watched pretty much every Gilmore Girls vid that was posted onto this site, including lots of Rory/Logan ones. And years ago practically every Gilmore Girls fan on this site seemed to be subscribed to me, regardless of their shipping preferences. And I just felt it was unfair that I would have vidded other ships that I didn't want to be endgame like Rory/Dean and Lorelai/Christopher multiple times in addition to tons of Rory/Jess and Luke/Lorelai videos, but to have never really vidded Rory/Logan... ever. So this contest here gave me the perfect excuse to finally vid this couple that is one of the few couples on any TV how that I've ever actually said I hated. Why do I hate them? Rory doesn't seem quite as sad to me when she's supposed to be heartbroken over them - there are pretty much no tears shed. Lorelai doesn't seem to like him. He's, in my beloved favorite character's Jess' own words, "The blonde dick from Yale" and seriously he is too much of the time. He encourages Rory to risk her life early on and this is supposed to be some romantic gesture, he's rude as hell to the lovely Marty in the first episode we ever meet him in and doesn't even apologize for it but rather thinks he's basically right to treat Marty as less of a human being because he was hired to be a bartender at one of Logan's parties... Rory chooses the jerk Logan over the perfect and sweet Marty for no reason that I can relate to, and I related to Rory's character SO MUCH in seasons 1-4 and would never in a million years see myself falling for a guy like Logan, so that was part of what really bothered me from the start about Rory/Logan. He is a philanderer in every sense of the word, from the start and again when he believes they're broken up in season 6, and seems to be essentially an alcoholic to me which I don't find appealing. In the final Jess and final Jess/Rory moment on the show, my beloved OTP can't be together because Rory chooses Logan over Jess and it breaks my heart. I could go on. I mean really did he have to break up with Rory just because she doesn't want to settle for the San Fransisco life Logan chose for her that she never said she wanted? Like Rory said, they could at least try. and he's not teary eyed or emotional like at all when Rory's crying in 6x22 as he leaves for London for a year or in his final break-up with her! How am I supposed to feel for a man who basically gets angry or cold rather than EVER getting sad and sensitive about anything, whether it's Rory or his father or whatever. I do feel for Logan when it comes to like his dad. That actor will always be Mitchum Huntzberger to me, even if he's also Quinn's dad on Glee and a character I saw in a Castle episode etc. Mitchum was epically evil in a realistic way and I like that Logan changed for Rory and seemed to become a better man. I like some of their sweet moments and stuff. I couldn't really fully enjoy all of Gilmore Girls as complete package, the entire show, if I didn't kinda enjoy Rory/Logan. But I swear I also hated them lol. And I wish Rory would've chosen Marty if she couldn't be with Jess. Song: Last Kiss Artist: Boyce Avenue feat.
