Sara Wants to Win The 2016 Badger Sponsorship

Jetta and I had a ton of fun making this video, we hope you enjoy it! Transcribe: Howdy, I'm Sara and this is Jetta and we are counting down the days until our 2016 Appalachian Trail thru-hike! Now, you may be wondering why anyone would want to hike over 2,000 miles from Georgia to Maine. What I'm wondering is why anyone wouldn't. *music starts* I am doing this because it has been my dream since I first set foot on the Appalachian Trail. I'm doing this for the challenge, the adventure, the struggles, and the personal growth that all of these things will bring. I want to show my family, my friends, and anyone who has ever doubted themselves, that they are capable of greatness. I know I will be successful because I am a stubborn and determined person. I have been training physically to prepare my body to take over 5 million steps. I have prepared myself mentally for the struggles I will encounter. *music ends* During this epic adventure I don't just want to be on the trail, I want to be part of the trail. I want to encourage others to follow their dreams, and give back to this great community who have helped prepare and inspire me. Winning the Badger Sponsorship will give me the chance to test high end gear and grub that I couldn't otherwise afford, so I can provide my feedback to help other aspiring thru-hikers and adventurers prepare themselves for their own journeys.
