Satchel Charge Raids - Rust - Dublife EP053 ~ There is a new item out for lower tiered raiding. The satchel charge is basically four beancan grenades crammed into a satchel. It is placed just like a timed-explosive charge(C4) but is about as reliable as a beancan. It does damage somewhere in the middle of the two. In this video, we set out on a new wipe, attempt to get a foothold and do a few raids, one of them with the new satchel charges. The Satchel Charge is a craftable explosive weapon that can be thrown on Walls, Doors, and Deployable items. Once a Satchel Charge has been stuck to an object it will automatically arm itself. The time it takes to detonate is unpredictable, much like the Beancan Grenade. There is a chance that the charge can be a dud and must be picked up or rearmed. The resulting explosion will deal moderate structural damage to the targeted object. Players caught in the blast radius will be highly damaged/killed. The Satchel Charge is an excellent choice for new players that are not able to craft Timed Explosive Charge Satchel Charges can be found as rare drops in Airdrops, Barrels, and Loot Crates. The Satchel Charge needs to be learned with XP before being crafted. Crafting a single charge requires 4 Beancan Grenades and 1 Small Stash. It takes 3 minutes and 48 seconds to craft a Charge, using the aforementioned raw materials. The raw materials required for crafting a Satchel Charge from scratch are 480 Sulfur to make Gunpowder, 720 Charcoal to make Gunpowder, 80 Metal Fragments to make Beancan Grenades, and 10 Cloth to make Small Stash. This does not include the necessary Wood used in the Furnace to smelt the ore. Rust was originally released onto Steam's Early Access program on 11 December 2013. Similar to other games in the survival genre, the game tasks players to survive in the wilderness by crafting items using the materials they gather or steal. By the end of 2015, Rust had sold over 3 million copies on Steam. Since the launch, it has added animals, hunting and the ability to craft armor and weapons. The game originally had zombies but replaced them with bears and wolves as computer controlled antagonists. As well as an over-powered helicopter for players to band together and take down. Since its release, it has been met with mostly positive reviews. Reviewers praised the concept and gameplay, while noting that its unfinished state showed. As of the end of 2015, it has sold over 3 million copies and has a peak player base of nearly 60,000 players.
