Schumann - Piano Concerto in A minor - Gieseking, Furtwängler, BPO (1942) (Remastered 2012)

Robert Schumann (1810 - 1856) Piano Concerto in A minor op. 54 Walter Gieseking, piano, Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Wilhelm Furtwängler Recorded Live, Alte Philharmonie, Berlin, Germany 03/03/1942 Audio remastered and restored in 2012 by Rudolf Ondrich Using Har-Bal, I re-equalised the audio to match the frequencies of a modern digital recording. Unfortunately there was not much top end in the recording, although the bass and mid frequencies have been quite improved. I then added some noise reduction processing to and a few equalisation moves to reduce the hiss and general noise. Finally I converted the mono recording to stereo via the SHEPPi stereo tool.
