Senate probe on DBP-Ongpin deal

On October 7, 2011, Senate conducted its first hearing on the controversial deal between state-owned Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) and the group of businessman Roberto V. Ongpin.
Ongpin was a no-show and senators denied his lawyer's request to read a statement.
