Sensex ends 429 points higher, Nifty settles above 12; Hits and misses of Market | Market Fatafat

On Market Fatafat, Indian equity indices staged a smart rebound on Wednesday, in-line with other global indices, after Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said the government would soon anounce measures to tackle the financial fallout from the coronavirus outbreak. The BSE Sensex ended 428.62 points, or 1.05% higher at 41,323 while the NSE benchmark Nifty settled 133.40 points or 1.10% higher at 12,125.90. This is the biggest single-day gains logged by the indices in the last two weeks. Gains in the market were led by pharma, metal and banking shares. Listen in!
