I was standing right by a speaker, so the sound isn’t fantastic (adds to the overall analog “punk” feel!). ------------- Sex Stains is a five-member LA outfit formed in 2014 and is "comprised of stalwart members of the punk and indie underground." Allison Wolfe on vocals (formerly of Bratmobile & Cold Cold Hearts) Mecca Vazie Andrews on vocals (choreagrapher, dancer, & artistic director of "The MOVEMENT movement") David Orlando on drums (resident DJ for LA clubs Dub Clubs & Punky Reggae Party & formerly of the band Warpaint) Sharif Dumani on guitar (former guitarist for "Atlanta soul man" Cody Chestnutt and his Headphone Masterpiece band and also the band Tyde) Pachy Garcia on bass (Puerto Rican native who also plays with Prettiest Eyes) Description from their label: "Pulling from late 70’s and early 80’s post-punk, Sex Stains’ music alters between thought-provoking punk, infectious dance rhythms, angular guitar sounds and cacophony." ------------- Governess (DC) opened the show at 9:30 p.m. and are described as "a drudge-pop drones take on your favorite 60s girl group."
