so madara aka man in the mask has taken control over the nine tailed fox. then minato naruto's father confronts madara. he fights with him and then uses a sealing justu on madara. seperating him from nine tails thus showing that when nine tails was in the hidden leaf madara took control over him using his sharingan it shows that nine tails had sharingan at that time. and if minato had not used that sealing justu naruto would have sharingan.
