SHORT'S FUSE (ZX SPECTRUM - FULL GAME)

Zeus presents Short's Fuse (aka Bombscare) (un-emulated) for the zx spectrum. A true classic from the golden era of spectrum gaming which must not be forgotten alongside the software house and all programmers that were involved in making this game. Year of release: 1984 Well to this day no'one has uploaded footage of this game, a game that's known under 2 names...Short's Fuse & Bombscare, mainly because none of us were able to work out how the hell you are supposed to start it once it's loaded :-( Anyway, press S to start, then the fire button (on joystick, not keyboard) to get going,...no wonder none of us could start it, too bloody confusing as the code entry screen, everyone just thought the game had frozen. Guide your man around the levels collecting bombs, when a bomb is collected, you have 9 seconds to reach the next,...which is ridiculous as the first 5 levels are sooooo slow, waiting for ever just to jump on an elevator only to find you have a few seconds left screaming at the screen...C'MON!!!....HURRY UP!!!!!...then you die, and if that's not tough enough you can also lose lives by your energy running out and once again hearing that bloody CAMPTOWN RACES tune,...GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR...... This is a poor man's Chuckie Egg, slow, annoying and just tear your hair out frustrating, this could have been so good but simply put it's unfair, too hard and bloody annoying, and the code section is a joke, no matter what you press nothing happens. After level 5, it loops round to the same levels but faster which should've been the set speed at the start of the game, once level 11 is done it loops back to level 6-11 again,...no ending as shown in this upload. I have used the infinite lives and energy poke / cheat so i could upload the entire game for your viewing pleasure,...too frustrating to use no cheats,...just impossible. Hope all you Spectrum fans enjoy this upload.
