Six trampled to death in primary school

Six children were killed in a stampede on Friday in southwest China’s Yunnan Province. The stampede took place at about 2:30 PM at Mingtong Primary School in Kunming, Yunnan’s capital. Twenty-six were injured, receiving treatment in a hospital until Friday night. According to witnesses, the incident occurred just after lunch, when the first and second graders were walking downstairs in the dormitory building. Several students became stuck under a fallen “wall mattress” and were trampled by their unknowing classmates.
