For more info about geometry, be sure to google and look in wikipedia for these figures. Here is shown a way of drawing them from scratch, with no plug-ins in the software. There are plug-ins (look for 'soap skin & bubble') that do this surfaces very easy and automatically, the procedure I show takes more time, but I wanted to do it to show how to do it from scratch to understand the geometry, show creative ways of finding the solution and to provide inspiration to other people for their own problems. If you're gonna do lots of these structures with different or more difficult shapes then it's worth it to download and learn to use the plug-in, but to do a couple of them it's faster this method, 'manually'.
