Skiwelt 2019, Soll - Hopfgarten descent

1st January 2019, 11:20 Descent from Hohe Salve to Hopfgarten which is 1199m according to Skiline.cc. From top of Hohe Salve the piste map shows a number of runs, however these all appear to have the same starting section. Where I started was just beside the top of the Salvenbahn II lift (22) and the pistes marked here are Black 42, Reds 21, 22, 30, 31 & 40 so it's difficult to know you are on the right track, especially with the poor visibility. As I was aiming to get down to Hopfgarten, I kept to the left side of the piste to keep away from any routes back towards Soll or Itter. Eventually (3:00) arriving at the top of the 3 man Hohe Salve I chair (21) and the Alpengasthof Rigi. Again keeping left the visibility clears a bit and we arrive in a wider bowl where the Salvenbahn II gondola is visible (4:40). This wider section continues down to the meeting point of the Salvenbahn I and II gondola (6:30) passing a turn off towards Red 24 and the Schernthann chair (24) at 6:15. It is still possible to turn off towards the Schernthann chair at 6:45 just below the bottom station of the Salvenbahn II. The route towards Hopfgarten continues on Red 20 on what is labelled the best piste in Skiwelt (6:45). This is a good long run with a couple of road crossings (9:35 and 10:30).
