Тонкая Рябина (Slender Rowan Tree). This song more than any other got me going playing accordion in the mid 70's. It was in a Russian book of lovely arrangements for accordion of many popular folk songs and dances. Learning this made me appreciate what an expressive instrument the accordion can be, and how with just a little thought about the bass side, the instrument can be truly magical. Beautifully simple and simply beautiful. I hope this music will inspire others too.
