सल्लेरी - Scenes from Salleri, Solukhumbu

A Sherpa town at 2,300 metres in eastern Nepal. Salleri is the capital of the Solukhumbu district and a starting point for treks into the Everest area. Within the last ten years an improved road has been built and there is now a 20 hour bus service to Kathmandu. The relatively densely settled Solu valley, mule trains returning from the hills, itinerant musicians, rhododendrons and life in and around Salleri bazaar.
