Snatcher (Sega CD, 1994) Demo 1

Recorded with Sega CD/Genesis combo w/capture card JUNKER HQ I'm sure alot of people want to see how one of Hideo Kojima's earlier masterpieces plays, so here's a demo of just the first segment, won't spoil anything else. In Japan, this Konami title did so well that it respawned on many game systems since 1988 when it started on the NEC PC-88, such as the PC Engine, Playstation, and Sega Saturn; so it was interesting to see this game evolve with technology over the years. People in America wanted it, so in 1994 Snatcher was in English for the Sega/Mega CD in America and Europe. The English voiceovers are outstanding compared to those horrendous Turbografx CD English voiceovers. Despite the hard work KoA did, Snatcher saw an ill fate in the US and became a niche, sought-after title and a well known name among the hardcore gamer crowd, because apparently, the USA gaming scene was more action oriented. For many years all the way up to today, non-Japanese speaking Konami fans are still fighting their asses off to enjoy Kojima's other classic "Policenauts" in English. Because of this propaganda that "2-D won't sell" these days, they're beating a dead horse.
