Solar Pool Pump and Filter Solar Pool

I have cut my A/C pump run time from 8-10 hrs down to five per day. I have been running this system for a few months now since i did this video and my pool is crystal clear. I get about 8-10 hrs of sun on the pool. I have not had to go back to 8-10hrs of run time yet for the A/C pump even with cloudy days in the mix. Our A/C pump now runs 1 hr in the day time and 4 hrs at night. I am very happy with these two products. I did the vid in early June and now it is late July and things are doing well. I will get 5 months per year use out of these two products. They save about 700kw per year at my site. The solar skimmer works excellant. Both assistng each other. One cleans and one filters. The solar skimmer also chloronates the pool. It has a built in despensor for (2) 3" chlorine tablets. For me these two products bring energy savings and energy independece as well as convienence. I also know if the grid goes down my pool will remain clean. Our outdoor solar lighting also adds a very nice touch as well. The pool light is a 12v LED fixture thtat changes all different colors and is adjustable for colors. Very cool products. Going green is very fun and effective!! New update 2013- We now run our electric pool pump for only 2 hrs a day since we have had this unit. We also use a 12v bilage pump at 4000GPH with 3 100w solar panels. This is a submersible system. All systems use no batteries or inverters.
