Stevens Sr. Steven's father used to sing this song when he was young. Stevens also dedicated the song to her Mother Patricia Stevens who passed away from Lung Cancer in 2001, her vocal coach sponsored her voice lessons for 4 years, Margaret Colbert, and very dear friend Eileen Littig who she worked with for three years on the documentary, "Owe.la': the Music Within Jennifer Stevens," broadcasted on Wisconsin Public Television and PBS in 2012. Stevens has studied classical music since she was 8 years old-originally in piano and in middle school she started to sing in choirs and studied voice both in college and privately in Wisconsin, Chicago, New York City, and in Europe; Italy, Austria-with notable American Soprano and vocal technician, Cornelia Prestel, Spain, and Switzerland-with notable Italian sopranos such as; Francesca Patane and Fiorenza Cedolins. Stevens has recently started to study voice with nationally known voice teacher and vocal technician, Elizabeth Manion in St. Paul, Minnesota.
