Somita (F/A#) Lydian Hexatonic

This smaller diameter Somita is a happy and joyful chromatic companion to the bigger, deeper and more meditative (C#/G#) Phrygian (aka "Annaziska"). These two Soma's will give the player a full chromatic range of notes spanning from G#3 to A#4 (plus an additional C5 and two bass notes; F3 and C#3). Notes: F3/ A#3 C4 D4 F4 G4 A4 A#4 C5 The Lydian mode has a dream-like and somewhat futuristic character. The hexatonic version makes it more intuitive to play. Played from the C4 note, this Somita includes a C Mixolydian Hexatonic scale; and if the playing is centered in the bass note it transforms into a F Major Hexatonic. The recorded instrument was built on thicker steel than usual and, thus, has a different sound than other Soma's. Please watch in HD and use a proper stereo system or good headphones for listening.
