По случаю Дня защитника Отечества сотрудники посольства России в КНДР почтили память советских воинов, павших в боях за свободу корейского народа. Pyongyang, February 23 (KCNA) -- Staff members of the Russian embassy here laid a wreath before the Liberation Tower on Monday on the occasion of the Day of Defenders of the Motherland. Present at the wreath-laying ceremony were Alexandr Matsegora, Russian ambassador to the DPRK; Alexei Bartusov, Russian military attache; and other Russian embassy officials and foreign military attaches here. After a wreath in the name of the Russian embassy was placed before the Liberation Tower, the participants observed a moment's silence in memory of the fallen fighters of the Soviet Army. Then the Russian embassy officials placed a wreath and flowers before the cemetery of the fallen fighters of the Soviet Army in Sadong District, Pyongyang City. Meanwhile, they laid bouquets before the statues of the Soviet army, towers of liberation and monuments to fallen soldiers of the Soviet army in local areas.
