South Africa: 44 Class Steelpoort Line March 2017

Join us on the steeply graded Belfast - Steelpoort branch in Mpumulanga, South Africa, as the huge new 44 Class locomotives haul the chromium ore trains from the mine at Steelpoort to the main line at Belfast. These 4200hp beasts are massive for 3'6" gauge, and usually run in sets of 4 on loaded trains. Previously 6 older locomotives were required to haul these heavy loads.
