The split squat or stationary lunge is a good exercise to use to work your glutes and quadriceps as well as your hamstrings, inner and outer thighs which have stabilization work.
You can perform this legs exercise with dumbbells in the low hang position as you see here or the high hang position with the dumbbells or kettlebells up around your shoulders.
Make sure your front knee stays above your ankle to work your lower body muscles evenly.
