Professor Kurzman studies the Middle East closely and has expertise on terrorism and radical Islam. In this conversation, he discusses Al Qaeda after the death of Osama Bin Laden and the effectiveness of radical groups in recruiting young Muslims. Kurzman is a professor of sociology at UNC-Chapel Hill.
