When Sufyan Shaikh was sweet sixteen he was already swimming like a champion
Sufyan Shaikh is a young international swimmer from Gujrat India, and probably the youngest swimmer in the world to have crossed the 7 seas.
In July 2006 he swam the English Channel becoming the youngest swimmer to cross the English Channel. Sufyan says that perseverance and his mothers prayers gave him the strength that made him swim from England to France nonstop in 12 draining, wet and consecutively cold hours.
On May 26, 2007 he successfully swam around the famous Alcatraz Rock and became the first and the youngest swimmer from India to cross Alcatraz. His next competition is in Key West Florida and then beyond.
