NOTE: Thore Olof Gottfrid EHRLING (b. 1912 in Stockholm, Sweden - d. 1994 in Lidingö, Sweden) Swedish composer, arranger, bandleader and trumpeter. In 1931-1935 he studied in althorn and trumpet class at the Musikkonservatoriet, Stockholm. Yet, after studies he was attracted by playing jazz and in 1938 he founded his own dance band. Soon, he became one of prominent figures in Swedish swing-scene. During 2nd World War, like many Swedish artists (e.g. film actresses Kristina Söderbaum, Zarah Leander or operetta and music-hall singer Sven-Olof Sandberg) he gained the success in nazi-Germany and his band often recorded for Telefunken and Odeon in Berlin. In the years 19391970 he recorded over 1 000 sides in Sweden and abroad.
