His treatment at the hands of investigators enraged the Swiss press who campaigned for his release. The boy's family has promised him a new life in Switzerland. VOICE-OVER: 0.00 The American Airlines flight from Chicago touched down in Switzerland, carrying with it the boy at the centre of a trans-Atlantic storm over incest allegations. 0.10 After more than ten weeks, 11-year-old Raoul Wuethrich finally found comfort in the arms of his family, who had campaigned so strongly for his return. 0.20 He was embraced by his parents and three sisters on the tarmac of Zurich's airport. 0.25 The media kept at a distance. 0.27 Raoul was allowed to leave the United States after a judge dismissed incest charges against him on procedural grounds. The Swiss boy, at the time only ten years old, had allegedly been seen by a neighbour, abusing his 5-year-old half-sister at their home in a Denver suburb. He had been taken from his home by Denver authorities late at night. His parents say they fled the United States for fear the girls would also be taken from them. Raoul then spent more than six weeks in detention and on one occasion appeared in court in shackles. On his return, the boy's stepfather thanked the media for their support. SOUNDBITE: (Swiss German) "But now I need to appeal that Raoul needs to find a home again. He needs to find a home in the heart of his family. It would be a contradiction if the media would not accept that now." SUPER CAPTION: Andreas Wuethrich, Raoul's Stepfather Raoul needs to find a home again, he said. After so much support from the media, he added, it would be a contradiction if they would not accept that now. The Swiss press have solidly backed Raoul's release. But Colorado prosecutors said they were looking at ways to change the law which allowed it.
