We created a live Linux bootable snapshot image using Systemback from a Debian based Linux distribution called MX-14 which uses the Xfce desktop. The Systemback image was taken after making some significant changes to the original MX-14, which included installing a KDE dekstop in addition to the Xfce desktop. This screencast tutorial will demonstrate how the SystemBack image can be installed onto another computer.
Using VirtualBox, we boot into a virtual machine using the Systemback image, partition the hard disk and step you through the SystemBack process to install the image onto the new machine. Having used a different name for the account login during the installation, post install we show how to make thee minor changes to make Dolphin, the file browser for KDE open up at the correct location.
