Tbilisi, Georgia -- This awesome clock tower is the work of Rezo Gabriadze, a puppeteer who built it from stuff he salvaged. It's a mishmash of styles and looks perilously close to falling over, and local kids go nuts over it. I was eating lunch when they started gathering shortly before noon, truly giddy with anticipation. The chiming and music and puppets were charming, but I was more fascinated by the effect they had on the kids. Keeping time -- and passing time -- should always be this fun.
