Tentang Petang - Tika & The Dissidents

This is a video that I made for one of my favorite songs from the album The Headless Songstress by Tika & The Dissidents, "Tentang Petang". the dark beauty of this song reminded me of this old russian cartoon I saw a long time ago. so I went in search of it. With luck, not only did I find it, I found that his film is in the public domain. And here is my proof: http://www.rosculture.ru/movies_list/listing/show/?id=11581 (that's the film on the Federal Agency of Culture and Cinematography list of Russian films in the public domain) The film was called "The Stolen Sun" or "Краденое солнце" made by Soyuzmultfilm. I used footage from about a 1/3 of the film, re-edited it and made it to fit this gorgeously haunting song.
