Terraria Discontinued Items - The 'Zapinator' - Very Rare Discontinued Terraria Item (NES Zapper)

Welcome to the next installment of the Terraria discontinued item series! In this episode we are taking a look at the Zapinator, an item that was left in the Terraria game files by mistake! Be sure to LIKE the video and subscribe for more awesome Terraria videos :) The Zapinator was a weapon that was never officially obtainable in the game as it was used by the developers of Terraria to quickly kill opponents throughout Beta testing. The weapon was only hidden in the game files for 1 day because the first ever Terraria update (1.0.1) was released the day after release which saw this weapon being replaced by the Angel Statue. The weapon at the time was extremely powerful, causing approximately 500 damage per second which is powerful enough to decimate any monsters at the time. The weapon is a direct reference to the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) gun controller called the Zapper, which perhaps is the reason why we have not seen this sprite re-emerge in later patches, because of copyright issues. The Zapinator is for sure one of the most infamous weapons in Terrara. Despite it's short lived duration in the game files, it is regarded as a very well known weapon and is only obtainable currently through third party mods which emulate the gun.
