Thai Navy Seal says trapped boys interested in World Cup quarter-finals

(5 Jul 2018) Thai navy SEALs who reached a group of boys and their coach trapped inside a partially-flooded cave said the boys asked for an update on the ongoing World Cup in Russia. They wanted to know "which team qualified", said a member of the SEAL team. Another member said he had told them " the big teams are already out." With more rain coming, Thai rescuers are racing against time to pump out water from inside a flooded cave before they can extract the 12 boys and their football coach. The boys and the coach were found on Monday after missing for 10 days.
