The Black Sheep (2016 HSC Video Drama)

For my HSC Drama Major Work I chose to complete a 'Video Drama'. This short film, titled 'The Black Sheep', follows the experiences of Mia, an awkward teenage girl starting her first day at a new school. Desperate to fit in, Mia "lies her way to the top," but the higher she climbs the further she has to fall, and when her lies begin to spiral out of control, her perception of herself, others and the concept of conformity and individualism is challenged. This is the finished product that was submitted for the HSC, receiving a final mark of 95% (Band 6). All behind the scenes work, including scripting, casting, directing, cinematography and editing was completed by myself alone, under the guide of Mr. Matthew Whaley, and with equipment provided by Mr. Ben Savet. Almost everything was shot at St Scholastica's College, Glebe.
