THE HOLY ISLAND OF PATMOS hello my name is tony_0017 ___________________________ After a much needed body baptism in my luxurious hotel pool, I set out for the sole purpose of coming to the small, hilly island of Patmos. Both rich in history and natural beauty. The island is also home to the final text and chapters of the Holy Bible. The Cave of the Apocalypse is situated about halfway up the mountain on the Aegean island of Patmos, along the road between the villages of Chora and Skala. This grotto is believed to mark the spot where John of Patmos received his visions that he recorded in the Book of Revelation. Above that on the highest point of the capital city is The Monastery of St. John the Divine a fortified Orthodox monastery.
