Original song from an Adelaide band The Hop. Only existed for a short while around 1983. The band was comprised of Paul Burton on guitars, saxophone,bass, vocals and drum machine, Patrick Loughry on vocals and percussion, Mike Rawlinson on guitar, Ralph Mabey on soprano saxophone and clarinet and Nick Swann on bass and guitar. This track was written by Patrick Loughry and Paul Burton and recorded at a studio on North Terrace, Adelaide. Paul and Patrick were with The Milky Bar Kids at the time and Mike and Nick were still involved with The Rejects. This song, Take A Hard Line, with its two parts, has a slight Cure feel to it..
