The Iron Curtain (Travemünde)

It's weird how things change. Bitter enemies since a long time, Germany and USA have something in common. In 2000, influenced by a project born in Boston, the Freedom Trail, Michael Cramer, a German politician, carried on a Gorbaciov's idea, first suggested in the early 90s, about a development of the Iron Curtain. Named after a Winston Churchill's speech, it has been a real border, a supervised stripe surrounded by small villages (excepted for Bratislava, the only capital close to the Curtain) or lost in the middle of nowhere.
