The Kenya veterinary board has warned politicians to stay clear of quarantine measures set to prevent further spread of the rift valley fever. Speaking in Nairobi today, the veterinary authorities have accused the political class of interfering with the continued closure of slaughter houses and ban on trade in livestock products in the affected counties. They have accused the government of a poor response to the current Rift Valley fever outbreak in the country. There have been reported cases in Wajir, Tana River, Isiolo, Marsabit and Barin
