UPDATE: The warm ponds are no longer there because they've been covered in lava. And now I'm not sure if POHOIKI will make it as it's surrounded by lava now. I'm happy I have the many beautiful memories at least and look forward to exploring the new coastline. We no longer have access to the Hawaiian coastline that I have loved so dearly for so many years now because it is surrounded by lava ... authorities have blocked off the entire area and Pohiki is now off limits. So many places that I have filmed are now closed off to the public. Luckily I already DID film these places. These are crazy times for me - with the live volcano just a couple miles from where I live and I can actually see the plume from my house. But I'm a champion and my only option is to film the lava every day ... it's my new obsession! I will have a lava documentary for you to watch soon!
