The Last Waltz. music by Chopin

The art of the fin-du-siècle Silver Age of the Empire is matched with the Waltz nr 9 "l'Adieu" of Chopin. Of course, no one knew that the world would collapse in the chaos of 1917-21, and no one was aware that they were "dancing the last waltz". The music was chosen because of its melancholy quality and the title "l'Adieu" (Farewell) fit the period exactly. It would be 75 years until the tyranny of the Marxists was overthrown... truly, "l'adieu" to a cultured and beautiful civilisation. May it be reborn soon! This compilation includes my favourite Russian artwork, "Girl with Peaches" by Valentin Serov and my favourite Russian artist, Zinaida Serebyakova.
