The Long March To Freedom Run This hidden bronze army, made up of heroes who fought in the South African struggle for democracy over the past four centuries, is the Long March to Freedom National Heritage Monument. The Monument is conveniently located at Fountains in Groenkloof. From the rebel chiefs and revered kings to the more well-known activists of the 1980s and 1990s, each figure is poised in walking motion, symbolically fighting for the liberation of South Africa while marching forward to the inevitable advent of democracy. This is not the ideal place for a proper run as the space is limited, but it is worth a visit, especially to see how our leaders looked liked. I enjoyed this run, and playing around the bonze status, I way less than 1km, but overall it was a good experience. I hope you enjoy watching this as much as I enjoyed making it.
